2009 Home Tour Information
The range of homes on display during the Custom Builders Council Home Tour 2009 showcases a remarkable spectrum of design artistry and building talent in the greater Albuquerque area. It’s hard to imagine where else you could inspect an elegant rural New Mexican estate house on the site of an ancient pueblo - in the middle of the metro area! - a snug, supergreen empty-nester paradise, or a downtown, period-correct, newly built Arts and Crafts bungalow. You can also tour a modern house in country Corrales, a traditional hacienda in dramatic Diamond Tail Ranch in Placitas, a green home near the bosque just minutes from downtown, a Southwestern luxury home in an exclusive Corrales subdivision, a New World-styled family compound in a gated North Valley community, and a Tuscan-flavored greenbuilt home with universal design features near the Sandia Mountains.
Distinctive and intriguing new homes - that’s what you’ll find on the 2009 tour organized by the Custom Builders Council of the Home Builders Association of Central NewMexico. It’s no stretch to suggest that everyone will see something they like. With prices ranging from the mid-$300s to more than $4 million, these homes cover a wide band of the market, as well. The tour gives you a prime opportunity to spend time in these homes, find out how they were made and what makes each one unique, and get to know the builders. You’ll find them friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to answer any questions about the house or about the one they’d love to build for you.
The Custom Builders Council is a select group of builders who have met a stringent set of professional standards. Members must warranty the homes they build, provide sound business and client references, and demonstrate proven business ethics. CBC members have won national, regional, and local building and design awards and earned professional and public praise for their projects. A diverse group, members build custom homes in all price ranges and architectural styles across central New Mexico. As the first days of summer beckon you out to enjoy life in the Land of Enchantment, treat yourself to a tour of the finest homes being built today. At one of the nine stops on the custom home tour, you just might find the builder of your next house.
